Bass Purse

Sewing is going well, I managed to make six pillow cases, altered my old GAP jeans and made lovely shorts with crotchet lace, altered another jeans (but still working on), two sets of duvets & pillows (one for Barbie and one for Furby –  for 3 and 5 years old nieces, to be clear ). Fixed few unstitched clothes and made this wool purse. This is double bass purse, dedicated  for all sorts of bits and pieces related to double bass: rosin, cloth, spare string, some tools….

I recycled old Yves Saint Laurent  suit trousers, and as you can see I used the back pocket button whole to close the little front pocket. I lined the pocket with recycled lovely cotton smart shirt leftovers. I was bit scared to lined the main part of this purse so I did the pocket only. Picked fancy stitch on my machine and lovely neon green thread. I think it’s going well with this navy blue wool.

Enjoy a few pics below…

ps. I need sew in some sort of closing system for this purse (I’m not sure if actually exist something like “closing system”?). I mean zip or Velcro, to close the main pocket of this purse.
